Chris Horn is a Researcher at Secure Decisions, an R&D organization, and helps guide product development at Code Dx. He is currently engaged in several application security (AppSec) research projects, including: developing a system for benchmarking static code analyzers, studying human factors that affect application security, and applying machine learning to triaging of static code analysis findings. His prior published research has focused on AppSec metrics and on methods for visualizing complex cyber security data. The results of his AppSec metrics research has been applied to state-of-the art dashboards for application vulnerability management. Chris has 18 years of experience in research, software systems, and new product development. He began his career at the RAND Corporation and Carnegie Mellon University, where he studied human-computer interaction and human decision making. He has helped organizations like General Dynamics, Whirlpool Corporation, and the U.S. Navy with product strategy, systems engineering, and user experience.
