Felipe "Zimmerle" Costa is the architect and main developer of ModSecurity version 3. He has been ModSec's lead dev for the past 4 years. Zimmerle is Ph.D. student at Federal University of Pernambuco where he is conducting researches about block chains.

At SpiderLabs, Felipe is not only the responsible for ModSecurity development but also conducts researches on Web Application Security in general.

Atop of his experience in Web Application Security, Zimmerle also has a strong background on the (in-)security of GSM networks. Engaged with open source development he has contributions on assorted projects, from web browsers to 3d printer software.
