Victor Hora is working in the field of defensive security for over a decade in different roles ranging from threat intelligence, forensics, systems hardening, IDS and MSS to a variety of penetration testing activities including mobile devices, networks and web applications for both commercial and governmental institutions. He holds OSCP, CREST and Security+ certifications and an Advanced degree in Computer Networks.

Victor is currently co-maintainer of the ModSecurity project and Senior Security Researcher at Trustwave SpiderLabs where his main roles are related to tracking and analyzing new threats in the Web Application Security field while developing defensive protections, providing expert advice and consulting for commercial WAF customers during professional services engagements. He is also a contributor to ModSecurity Core Rule Set Open Source project.

As one of his attributions inside SpiderLabs, Victor is also the manager of the Web Server Security Team, leading and inciting a global group of researchers and driving integration of products and services throughout the company, reporting directly to the VP of SpiderLabs Research and closely collaborating with engineering, product management, sales, marketing, legal, and customers.
